Who is addison lane

Laurie Green

Laurie Green is a songwriter from Chicago, Illinois and the founder of the music from addison lane. She received her B.A with a minor in music from North Park University, two Masters degrees from Northeastern Illinois University, and is currently finishing her PhD at Concordia River Forest College. She performed and taught dance for twenty years, in addition to, writing many songs for musical theater. A musical production featuring her original songs will be showcased in Chicago in the future (TBA).

In 2018, Laurie began a new journey, leading to the title of her first album “Back to Balance” (anticipated release date December, 2018). This album steps away from musical theater and into the pop/rock genres, showcasing a completely new side to her songwriting skills.

Her first album is a tribute to people who find the strength to push ahead with their dreams and share their passions without doubt or hesitation…people who grab opportunities, face fears, embrace confidence, and go for it, whatever IT is. To achieve her vision, she worked hard to gradually develop a dream team of local musicians and artists. Many of the talented people working with addison lane are also from the Chicago area. Her extensive travels, passion for exploring other cultures, and personal connections with people have greatly influenced her song lyrics.
